July Newsletter 2020

President's Report

Hi all, hope life is good with you and your family. Well our last competition for the 19/20 season got off the ground and thanks to you all, it was a beauty. As you will know we, as a committee representing you the members, decided to fund the comp out of our own funds. The July sponsors were still acknowledged of course, Matamata Tractors and Machinery, New World, and of course Bell and Graham. The weekend was also about recognizing all the support we have had over the years from all our wonderful sponsors, please constantly check the list in your newsletters and support them where you can.

Many of these businesses have been through a hard time with covid 19 and your very important spending dollars can help them, so of course they can continue to be involved with our club.

On the 1st of August is our annual prize giving, it is on Saturday evening starting at around 5.30 and is a lot of fun. There will be a light meal provided free and drinks available to purchase at the bar. Please make an effort to come along and enjoy a celebration with our trophy winners.

The following Wednesday night, being the 5th of August, is our AGM. It will be held at 6.30 at the club rooms. Please come along and have some input into the running of your club. We have a great team as your committee who work for you and the betterment of your club. If you would like to become a part of the team come along and be in involved.

The first competition for the new season 20/21 will be on the 5th and 6th September. Please remember you must be financial for the new season to fish the comp, there will be invoices sent out to you early August with bank details. If any details on invoice are incorrect please phone Pauline 027 245 5223 and she will rectify.

I am very pleased to say our first out of the blocks sponsors are on board, they are of course our very own awesome local Mitre 10, and that absolute wizard of sign writing, Craig from Signtint. The comp will be a great way to kick off spring so make sure you are part of the action.

Happy Fishing, Bungey
