President's Report
Hi all, well here we are at the end of another fabulous season. Thank you all very much for your involvement in the club, it’s great to see so many families coming along with their children, while that is happening the future of the club looks very strong.
Our July competition was a real beauty, known as the Kerry McKinley Memorial, the fishing side of things is sponsored by Matamata Tractors and Machinery, Matamata New World, and Laurent Contractors, a great big thank you to you all. Once again, this year we combined a hunting section with the fishing competition. Our committee was very well supported by the Dench family organising the competition. It involved a lot of local sponsors so please take a few moments to check out the newsletter to see who they are, without our local businesses we would not have such an awesome line up of prizes.
We have two very important dates coming up. Firstly the 12th of August is our prizegiving, please make an effort to come along, have some food, fun, drinks and most importantly help winners celebrate their efforts. Secondly, and also very important, the AGM on the 16th of August, a very important one, please come along and have a say in the running of our club, and perhaps even put your name forward to have a go on the committee, a very fun-filled and fulfilling job.
