President’s Report
Hello Members, and Fellow Fisho’s,
Welcome to our April Newsletter.
Unfortunately, we had to postpone our original dates for our March Competition for one week due to the weather. This worked in our favour as it was a great turnout of people with fish at our Club.
The Big Fish Competition was kindly sponsored by Challenge Matamata, King Electrical, Plumbco (2004) Limited, FVM Farm Veterinary Matamata, and Matamata Marine.
Our Sponsorship for this Competition makes this a really great Competition and a huge success.
A big congratulations must go to Isaac Crossland taking out First and Second in the Big Fish Competition! He won $1,800 in Sponsorship prizes! Unfortunately there were no Marlin or Tuna weighed in for our Big Fish Competition, although seven of the eight prizes were struck.
Our local competition resulted in Andrew Smellie winning a fantastic Water Blaster with a Snapper weighing in at 4.005kgs, this was kindly donated by TradeZone.
A big thank you to all our sponsors for this competition including TradeZone, Wrightway Builders & Comag.
Also massive thanks to Waharoa Transport for sponsoring our Junior competition.
Our April competition is kindly sponsored by LJ Hooker, Matamata Auto Services and Electrical, Bell & Graham & TradeZone
This competition is the weekend of the 11th and 12th of April.
On a sad note, we lost a valued and popular member Latham Begovich. Our thoughts are with Hayden, Alesha, Willow, Eden, Bungey and P, and their extended family.
Kind Regards, see you all in April,
Phil
Hi Members,
Welcome to our own email update
April Competition is the 11th and 12th of April
Make sure the kids get the pens out and get creative with the Easter Colouring Page attached
General Reminders
Once you have weighed in your fish please clear the area so others can do the same
Last Competition there were too many people standing around talking near the weigh station
This meant we were unable to hear a lot of the weights being called out
