President’s Report
Hello members,
Welcome to our June Newsletter.
We were saddened to hear of the passing of one of our members and sponsor Bob Autridge during the weekend. Our thoughts are with all of his family.
The weather finally let us fish our last competition. Even though it wasn't a perfect forecast a good number of fish were weighed in.
There were some nice fish that came across the scales from many different areas.
A big thank you to our sponsors who made this possible, Matamata Tractor and Machinery, Phil Stevens Racing, Whitehall Shoeing Company, Candy Gillespie, Bell & Graham, Matamata Auto Services, LJ Hooker, TradeZone Matamata and Hunting & Fishing Matamata and a very big thank you to Etch It, Craig and Robyn Osborne , for their fabulous engraved wooden trophies. Along with Waharoa Transport who sponsored the Kids Comp.
It was great to see the excited kids turn up with a lot of eels. Congrats to Carter Harland who showed up with an Eel weighing in at 3.435kgs! Well done and keep it up.
Our June competition will be our last competition for the season. With many of the points being very close it will come down to the wire in many categories.

Planning is under way for our Annual Hunting Competition in July and it will come around quick. Keep an eye out for our social media and email updates. The dates for the Hunting Competition are Friday 10th of July to Sunday 12th July. This is always a great Competition to be a part of.
Any help by members would be greatly appreciated please.
Our up coming events are our Prizegiving set for Saturday 15th August and our AGM on Wednesday 26th August. If you are interested in becoming part of the Committee, please reach out.
Let's hope the weather plays its part for our next competition and we can all get out for a fish for our final competition.
