President's Report

Hi, well another club season has come to an end, and it would be fair to say it finished on a very positive note. The July competition, the Kerry McKinley Memorial, was very well sponsored by Matamata Tractors and Machinery, Bell and Graham Solicitors, and Matamata New World, a very big thank you on behalf of all our members.

Being the middle of winter, the weekend was cold and windy, but we still had a very good turnout. Coming up on the 14th of August is of course our annual prizegiving. This year it is extra special of course celebrating 30 years, wow where that has gone?

We are having our celebrations at Swaps Pepper Street Café, and we would love to see you there. The food (canapés) from 6.00pm to 7.00pm, band and venue will all be supplied by the club, all you need is a few dollars for a medicinal drink or three (eftpos available).

Please let Eileen or Stef know if you haven’t already that you are coming. If you know any past members please let them know, it should be an excellent night.

Our first competition for the new season will kick off on the 4th and 5th of September. In the past Craig at Sign Tint has been a sponsor, this season he has decided to put his sponsorship money elsewhere. On your behalf I would like to say a great big thank you for his involvement over the years, he is a top man, and we appreciate it.

Great news going forward, we have the wonderful continued support from Mitre 10 Matamata and a new team on board, Darryn and his team at Nulook Waikato have signed up to sponsor September also. That is awesome, it is also where Kane Fort works, together they pro[1]duced our fabulous sliding doors at the club, great to have them on board.

Coming up on the 18th of August is our AGM, please come along and have your say. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our committee on your behalf, there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes to make your club what it is today, we have a fabulous team of likeminded people, if you would like to be part of the team come along to the AGM and get involved.

 Kind Regards

 Bungey

P.S: Please drop trophies back to Sportsworld ASAP. Also, if you are having trouble with club clothing i.e. printing coming off, please drop them to Sportsworld, named clearly and Craig will sort for us.
