President's Report

Isn't it great that we have such a consistent group of sponsors in place for
each competition, trust me we are the envy of many clubs. So where you can
please support them in return.
May turned out to be another very good competition with over 50 anglers
weighing in fish, and course with awesome sponsors, AMI, Fairview Motors,
Paul Jones Contracting and the Laurent Brothers, there were plenty of great
prizes. Well done to Hughy for another big snapper over that magical 20
pound mark, and although not announced on the night due to a computer
glitch, Hugh also took out the 3 bag. Best trout taken out by the wily
old fox Allen Cossill, also to show that ladies can do anything, Megan Brown
slayed the best kingfish.
I have to say it is so cool to see so many juniors weighing in fish, congratulations
to Sophie Dalton-Tipping for an awesome snapper of 3.8kgs and Beau Mitchell with one of 2.7kgs, very nice guys.
With only two competitions to go the points table is getting very tight. There
is a fair bit of friendly rivalry, coming to the surface so I dare say there might be
plenty of anglers out taking advantage of the three day competition – yes
that's right Monday is a public holiday, so make sure you are out there taking
advantage of the Queen's birthday weekend. There will be lots of excellent
prizes up for grabs with the sponsors being our very good regulars, Harry
Fort Decorators, Allenco Marine, and I'm pleased to add on Arrum Ali. Arrum
is only reasonably new to the club but feels he has had so much out of the
club already he wanted to sponsor a comp – great stuff ah.
Part of the prizes will be lucky member draws for a live bait tank set up, and
two people will be drawn out to go out on Wades magnificent boat SMADAS –
if you were at the last comp you would have seen the machine, what a beauty.
See you all on "Monday" the 5th June.
Happy Fishing,
Bungey
