July Newsletter 2017

President's Report

Wow, the Sheriff would have been proudof you all. Shocking weather for the
weekend and yet we still had over 70 turn up for our July Comp, the last of the
season.
The July Comp has a very interesting make up of sponsors. I would like to take
this opportunity to thank them all very much: Matamata Tractors and Machinery,
Bell & Graham Solicitors, Install Tech Kitchen, Joanne Prevett Travel, and of
course yourselves for supporting the travel voucher raffle.
September the 2nd and 3rd is our next comp and it is of course the first one to
kick off our new season. Let’s make it a good one. Our sponsors for September
are our very long time supporters, Mitre10 and of course Craig and the team at
Sign Tint. Don’t forget you “must” be paid up for the new season before you are
eligible to fish the first comp.
Now, on the new season’s membership as per a motion passed at last year’s
AGM the new seasons fees have changed, they are now as follows:
Juniors remain at $10.00
Singles remain at $30.00
Family membership goes up to $60.00
This is of course still extremely good value for ten comps a year at no extra
cost with an average prize pool of over $1500 to $2000.
The family membership includes two adults and all children under 16 or still at
school absolutely free.
By having a slight increase in fees we should be able to maintain bar prices and
of course keep supplying an awesome feed at each comp.
The 12th of August is our prize giving, please make an effort to get along and
support all the winners.
Included in the night, starting at 5.30pm, prize giving approx 6.30pm, will be a light
meal free of charge.
On the 16th of August is our AGM. Please come along and have your say on how
the club is run. Also give a thought to joining us on the committee, I am really
proud to have a great crew to work with and would love to see a few more step
up to the plate.
Cheers
Bungey
