President's Report

Hi, wow hard to believe there is only one more competition to go to wrap up another club season. Thank you all for being a part of it all, and on behalf of the committee and myself it is great to have the membership numbers still up there and seeing you all having a good time at the club rooms.

The June competition went off well, everyone enjoyed that extra day to fish, relax, have a medicinal one with friends and family, and get those kids out on the water. It was also a comp to remember Harry, I am sure he was there in spirit or perhaps “Tui” if you know what I mean, seriously though he was a legend and will always be remembered.

Special thanks to our sponsors for the month, Phil Stevens Racing, di Rosa Cabinetry and Furniture, UAVisuals Aerial Imagery and Videography Serv[1]ices, (Brad Hutton) Nulook Aluminum, (Darryn and Kane and families) and Steve and Linda Dench.

This month for the 3rd & 4th of July we have Matamata Tractors and Machinery, Bell and Graham Lawyers, and of course Matamata New World. Let’s make the last one for the season a real cracker. Things are going well on the planning front for our big 30 year celebration. If you do not know already it is on the 14th of August at Swap’s Pepper Café. This is an awesome venue with great atmosphere, there is going to be food, a band and all free, all you need to do is bring yourself along and just pay for drinks. Please let us know if you are coming, and if you can think of, or know of any past members let them know please. We need to know numbers by end of July.

If you were a trophy winner last season, please return it to Sportsworld asap. In August we also have our annual AGM, we have an awesome committee that work very hard for your enjoyment, if you would like to become a part of the team come along, join in, and have your say.

 Kind regards and happy fishing
