April Newsletter 2022

President's Report

Hi all,

wow if you were at the April comp you would have been very pleased with the turnout. April has always been a very good comp thanks to the long-time support of sponsors like LJ Hooker, Matamata Auto Services & Electrical, and of course Waharoa Transport.

Every month we try and involve the kids in our comps, this is especially so in March and April. I’m very pleased to say we had just on 40 kids at our last comp, what a great turnout and thank you to all the parents and grandparents that got our young ones out on the water. It does my heart good to see the club in such good hands with the young ones coming through.

Our next comp coming up on the 7th and 8th of May, while clashing with duck shooting weekend, still should be a very good comp. May is a great time of the year to catch big snapper so I’m expecting a 20 plus to be weighed in.

Our sponsors for the month are great: Vercoe Insurance; Fairview Motors; Paul Jones Contracting, and this year moving into May from July is good ole Bell and Graham Solicitors, what an excellent line up. Laurent Contractors have now moved to July and will be one of the many involved in a mix of fishing and hunting in that month. Keep an eye out on the newsletter for more details as we get closer, it will be a lot of fun for all.

Tight lines,

 Bungey
