I must say it was excellent to see our sponsors out at the club enjoying themselves: Vaughan and Paul from Fairviews; Lindy from AMI; and of course the evening wouldn’t have been complete without the Jones’ boys. Our other awesome sponsors were of course the Laurent boys but they were so busy shifting stock etc that they couldn’t make it. These locals are all...

May Newsletter 2018

Hi all, great to have your company at the May comp, if you weren’tthere you were probably duck hunting. It would be fair to say the crowd wasn’t huge, but we still had over 70 in the club rooms for the prize giving, very cosy.  The cool thing to me was still plenty of kids.I know I took one of our wee Grandies out, Grayson, just 3 years and we had a great time, something I can highly recommend to you all. I would like to say a great big thank you to our sponsors for May – Fairview Mo...

April Newsletter 2018

Hi all, hope all is good with you and your families, a bit of a shock last week to have a frost but it is autumn and those sudden southerlies will do that. The good news is there is still plenty of very good autumn fishing to come, as the water temperature drops the bite time increases as the snapper feed up to put condition on for the winter, not a bad idea that. The April competition weekend saw some strong winds around the coastlines but I’m very pleased to say we still had a very good turn...

March Newletter 2018

Hi all, hope all is good with you and you are setting aside a bit of time to put aline in the water. I am really pleased to say the March comp was another good one. We had a funny weekend with blue skies overhead but out at sea there was quite a strong wind, particularly on the east coast. The cool thing is, regardless of that, and the fact that quite a few didn’t get out, we still had a good turnout at the weigh in and prize giving. This is one thing that I’m loving about the club at the mo...

September Newsletter 2017

Hi All, Wow what a great way to start the new season, the weather was not good but we still got one hundred people to our weigh in for the September competition, it was so good to see. The really cool thing was that many hadn’t had the opportunity to go and fish, weather etc, and yet they still came along to enjoy the festivities of the evening. I would also like to comment on the fact that 30 of them were kids, and in many cases they had “told” Dad & Mum, hey we want to go to the fishing ...
